Grant County: The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) and Federal Highway Administration are sponsoring a public involvement meeting to provide information and obtain input on plans and a design for construction of a multi-use trail and other safety improvements on US Highway 180 from the Village of Santa Clara to the Village of Bayard in Grant County, New Mexico.

Purpose:

The project is anticipated to include a multi-use trail with crossings, replacement of guardrail, drainage improvements, curb and gutter to accommodate the new trail alignment and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements, additional street and path lighting, and a pedestrian crossing of US-180 near Manhattan Drive. All interested parties are encouraged to participate in the meeting and provide comments, concerns, and suggestions regarding the project, including input on bicycle, pedestrian, and cultural resource issues.
