The Grant County Board of Commissioners will convene in a Work Session/Regular Meeting on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. The meeting will take place in the Commission Meeting Room at the Grant County Administration Center located at 1400 Highway 180 East, Silver City, NM 88061. The agenda for this meeting may be altered up to seventy-two (72) hours prior to the meeting; copies can be obtained from the County Manager’s Office or viewed online at www.grantcountynm.gov In accordance with the latest Public Health Order “…all individuals age 2 years and older shall wear a mask or multilayer cloth face covering in all indoor public settings except when eating or drinking” The meeting may be viewed live on the County’s Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/GrantCountyNM/ or later as a recording on the County’s website at www.grantcountynm.gov  Public Input will be accepted both in person and virtually via Zoom.  To participate in person, individuals must be seated in the meeting room.  To participate through zoom, individuals must register no later than one hour prior to the meeting at the link below: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZ0kdOCqrTkqHtVU2LAg9yqXlMcqk81G561w

p. Consideration of Resolution R-21-44; A Resolution authorizing the execution and delivery of a Colonias infrastructure project fund loan/grant agreement by and between the New Mexico Finance Authority (“finance authority” or the “lender/grantor”) and Grant County, New Mexico (the “borrower/grantee”), for the benefit of Arenas Valley, in the total amount of $275,000, evidencing an obligation of the borrower/grantee to utilize the loan/grant amount solely for the purpose of financing the costs of design of the Old Arenas Valley roadway, and solely in the manner described in the loan/grant agreement; providing for the pledge and payment of the loan amount of $27,500 solely from one-eighth of one percent of county local option gross receipts tax and acceptance of a grant amount of $247,500; certifying that the loan/grant amount, together with other funds available to the borrower/grantee, is sufficient to complete the project; approving the form of and other details concerning the loan/grant agreement; ratifying actions heretofore taken; repealing all action inconsistent with this resolution; and authorizing the taking of other actions in connection with the execution and delivery of the loan/grant agreement.

q. Consideration of Resolution No. R-21-45; A Resolution authorizing the execution and delivery of a Colonias Infrastructure project fund loan/grant agreement by and between the New Mexico Finance authority (“finance authority” or the “lender/grantor”) and Grant County, New Mexico (the “borrower/grantee”), for the benefit of North Hurley, in the total amount of $150,000, evidencing an obligation of the borrower/grantee to utilize the loan/grant amount solely for the purpose of financing the costs of the surveying and design engineering to improve North Hurley road in North Hurley, and solely in the manner described in the loan/grant agreement; providing for the pledge and payment of the loan amount of $15,000 solely from one-eighth of one percent of county local option gross receipts tax and acceptance of a grant amount of $135,000; certifying that the loan/grant amount, together with other funds available to the borrower/grantee, is sufficient to complete the project; approving the form of and other details concerning the loan/grant agreement; ratifying actions heretofore taken; repealing all action inconsistent with this resolution; and authorizing the taking of other actions in connection with the execution and delivery of the loan/grant agreement.
