Biography
I love Grant County and the people here. My family has lived in Grant County since 1884. I was born and raised here and graduated from Silver High. Sandy and I have been happily married for 42 years and raised our 6 sons here. I come from very hard-working people who farm, raise livestock and work in the copper industry, other businesses and in education. I relate very well to the working families and businesses of our community. I am a US Army Veteran and earned a Master of Science Degree in Civil Engineering (University of Texas at Austin) and am a New Mexico Professional Engineer. I retired from Freeport McMoRan after 31 years of service. I own and operate a cattle ranch in Grant County. I currently serve on the boards of the Grant County Soil and Water Conservation District and the Grant County Cattle Growers. I’m also a member of the State and County Farm and Livestock Bureau. I look forward to working with the Grant County Board of Commissioners to safeguard our people, culture, lifestyle and prosperity.
